A very rare hemilitron from Messana

SICILY. Messana. 287-279 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 21 mm, 6.25 g, 6 h). Draped bust of Pelorias to left, wearing single-pendant earring and necklace; to left, two dolphins. Rev. MΕΣΣΑΝΙΩΝ Nike driving biga galloping to right, holding kentron in her right hand and reins in her left; below. CNS I, 21. HGC 2, 836. SNG ANS 389. Very rare. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, nearly very fine.
